Aloha,
What do you have to be grateful for today? If you can find something you are grateful for to focus on, you can begin to heal from anything.
Healing always takes its own path, and it is always a blessing.
I am very grateful for:
-the love of family
-my health and the health of those I love
-and for the opportunity to teach you what your body needs everyday!
So let's get started on the FREEWAY 2 HEALTH
FreeWay Number One
Everyday you deal with tension.
Tension from anxiety, pain, depression, heavy work and inactivity is stored in your muscles.
If you don't practice releasing the tension, then it squeezes you! You aren't able to use more than a fraction of your lungs! Intentionally release the tension everyday! Relax, that's all there is to it. If you don't, then the tension you live with will literally choke the life out of you.
The better you use your lungs, the longer you live, and the more quality your life. In this information age, the genomics labs are telling us this. We have heard this somewhere before, maybe? Isn't this message ancient?
The first step to optimizing your lung function is to RELAX!
At least 10 minutes everyday. Spoil yourself and take thirty!
Now please hear me. I am not talking sit in front of the tube. That's all well and good, but I'm talking about taking quiet time to begin or end your day. (or both) Deep relaxation only takes place with diligent practice. Use a tape or make up your own process, but it should involve quieting your mind as well as your body. If you pay attention, you will notice the stiffness giving way to an awareness of the fluidity within your body. This is a good place to be. Go there and let me know how it went.
Post your comments. It helps when you can create a community of friends who are ready and willing to do the work and share with others as they explore a new life style. There are no magic bullets. Keep doing what you are doing, and keep getting the same results. Change what you are doing and take notice of what happens.
Until tomorrow,
Carrie
